Stomach pains.: This could be one of several things, so some testing would be required at this point. The story you've listed argues towards hernia. Or there could be fluid within the peritoneal cavity causing irritation. Or even gastroenteritis (any nausea, vomiting, diarrhea?). Being it's been a week now of unrelenting pain, a doctor's visit is in order.
