Good: From the study, about 70-75% people are still being on Gleevec (imatinib) and still on complete remission for over 12 years now. In addition to gleevec, (imatinib) we have 3 other medications available- i.e. Dasatinib ( sprycel), nilotinib ( tasigna) and the newest one- bosutinib ( bosulif) that you can use if needed. So, i will say that for a leukemia, the life expectancy in CML is actually pretty good.
