Clarify question?: What is your question? Imatinib mesylate of Gleevec is one of the first line treatment and has been the standard of care for CML for the last 10 years or so. It is an oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits the bcr-abl. In cml, Gleevec has demonstrated a very high response rate , complete hematological/molecular response rate. Newer medication like tasigna, (nilotinib) sprycel now are also available.
