Yes and no: Inflammation at the transition zone between esophagus and stomach can result in luminal (phenobarbital) narrowing and impede food transit. Yes, food may get stuck here. Even a small hiatal hernia can contribute to reflux injury hence be partially responsible for causing the food to stick. Most small hiatal hernias dont need surgical correction. Loose bm - not generally associated with reflux problem.

Yes: Hiatal hernia and grrd go together. Food stuck because the acid caused inflammation. You need to get this fixed.
