Does not vary : If a woman is ovulating the timing does not vary. Ovulation occurs 14 days before your next period. This part of the menstrual cycle is always consistent. The first half of the cycle before ovulation can vary. For some it is short and for some very long you have to know your normal cycle length to be able to predict when ovulation will occur.

Yes!: For sure, and variable ovulation (just like variable heartbeat) is normal within certain limits - don't expect a human body to run like a machine.
