Possibly: I would get evaluated. Many things can cause your symptoms: nodules on vocal cords, infections, tumors, nerve damage, or it just might be the "way you are." thyroid might be involved, but not necessarily. It might be good to have a laryngoscope or thyroid ultrasound if your history and physical exam warrant them. Hopefully you don't smoke or chew tobacco.
