?shunt: Seems a complicated sequence, and may be associated with a shunt complication. See a neurosurgeon, but also, consider some newer rehabilitation approaches that may be of value. Occult infections can cause worsening of gait, and recurrent hydrocephalus can explain some of this perhaps.
