Not the best choice: It might, but this is not a typical antibiotic for the treatment of utis.

? bacteria sensitive: Biaxin is long actind erythromycin. Not a first line drug for utis, and only effective against gram positive organisms (staph. Or strep.Or ureaplasma) is prsecribed for suspected ureaplasma urethritis or gram positive UTI resistant to first line antibiotics tike ampicillin, Bactrim or cipro (ciprofloxacin).
