Cavities can develop: Cavities can develop overnight as the sugars and acids in your mouth are left, without the aid of brushing and flossing your teeth. Once you develop the habit of brushing and flossing your teeth in the morning and before you go to bed, you will enjoy good dental and gum health. A beautiful fresh, clean white smile is something most patients want. You can have one!

Bacterial colonies: That form can create the acids that eat into teeth creating cavities. If you brush effectively once a day and floss decay can be prevented so make your one time at night before bed. Floss then brush for five minutes everywhere, cheek side, tongue side, tops and behind last teeth then do a touch up in the morning. My patients love the way their teeth feel.

Tooth Brushing: Most of the damage to teeth by bacteria happens at night while we sleep. The mouth is a perfect incubator, moist, warm, plenty of oxygen and food. In addition there are all types of bacteria. That is how cavities and gum disease forms and destroy teeth. During the day there is plenty activity and bacteria have a harder time causing decay. Brushing and flossing before bed is very important!
