I have a runny nose and starting to get a ciough and i take adderal so i'm afraid to take somehing for it? any suggestions?

Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) et al: While on adderall, avoid stimulants like Pseudoephedrine (sudafed) and phenylephrine for colds, because they are also stimulants and the combination could put a strain on your heart. You can use saline rinses, plain Guaifenesin (mucinex without the d), or tylenol (acetaminophen) for discomfort. Afrin nasal spray one puff in one side nightly (vary the side)for a few nights (2-3) may help you sleep if stuffy.

Ok to use cough meds: You may want to try a slightly lower than usual dose, but over-the-counter cough medicines should be fine to take along with adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). If you have doubts, talk to the doctor prescribing the adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine); he or she may have a preference of what you take or avoid.
