Not Zoloft (sertraline): If you have an active brain bleed, i would not recommend taking zoloft at this time. Also, xanax (alprazolam) is better at calming an attack quickly. Please speak with your own physician about your anxiety and what would be the safest and most effective approach for you.

Xanax (alprazolam): Only xanax, (alprazolam) as prescribed, can calm the attack. Talk to your doctor about psychotherapy, if not already doing it.

Your brain needs to be protected above all else, prioritized over an anxiety attack. Please consult with your Neurologist and Psychiatrist who know your medical history. If you are not confident with your Drs. see another for a second opinion. A Psychiatrist can help you with medication for anxiety. A Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy can help you with coping.
