I have been to the dentist and she was going to start an root canal procedure but as soon as she inserted the injection the pain was too intense so she had to stop. what should i do?

Take antibiotics : If you had an infection or swelling, this will fight against the anesthetic. Usually antibiotics for 1 week will control the infection site and allow for complete profound anesthetic to be achieved with more ease.

More information: It sounds like you had a problem with the injection? Not the tooth? If it is from the injection you can either go back to the dentist to have the procedure or go to someone you feel more comfortable. The tooth should not hurt from an injection; it should get numb and the pain should go away.

Pain: An antibiotic may be helpful in this case for a few days before the root canal is attempted again.
