Infection: It could either be your body reacting to a cut or scratch in your mouth or the face; or it could be a system wide infection. If its just under your chin it is more likely a local reaction to an obvious injury.

A few things...: Sore glands could be from a few things...It could be allergies, it could be from a stone blocking the gland duct (sialolith) could be the flu or a cold, and in an odd possibility it could be something called cat scratch fever. Go to you dentist or md and get them looked at.
