Not Usually: It is unusual for varicocele to lead to azospermia. Usually it affects sperm motility and or morphology. In general varicoleces are not usually repaired unless they are severe. When azospermia is present, it is important to look for hormonal and genetic causes as well as to make sure there is no obstruction present.
