Roughly 3 months: In general bones take three months to heal, but there are factors that can affect or slow healing such as widely separated pieces, open injuries (the bone is exposed to the outside), smoking, diabetes, age, weight to name several. Even when the bones heal, the ankle can still be stiff or sore for an additional 3 months or even longer. Your specific case can be discussed with your doctor.

It takes 6-8: Weeks for bone to heal on avaergae. However, it sounds like you may of had a pretty bad one if you fractured in 2 didfferent spots so it may take longer than average. It all depends if broken into many pieces etc etc. Your doctor should of been able to give you an estimate.
