Lying down when i get the sensation of something low in my esophagus. my mouth waters and i feel i need to burp but can't. can last for an hour or +?

GERD: This is possibly gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd) aka heartburn. Here are some suggestions: stay upright for at least 1 hour after eating. Eat small meals frequently. Try zantac, (ranitidine) pepcid, or Prilosec to see if that helps (all of these are otc). If symptoms still occur, see your doctor for further tests.
