A member asked:

I had hpv as a teenager. could that have caused chorioamnionitis during my pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The two are not related at all. Hpv for the most part is confined to the squamous cells on the outermost portion of your cervix, of your vagina, vulva and anus. We don't always know why women get chorioamnionitis. Hope you and baby are doing okay.
