Muscle relaxants: Lyrica (pregabalin) is more of a nerve blocking agent for treatment of the fibromyalgia. If you have concomitant muscle spasms, perhaps a muscle relaxant will help with those symptoms (eg. Flexeril, robaxin, Soma or even baclofen) just be careful due to the increased drowsiness side-effect of both medications, which may increase dramatically if used together.

Cannabis: 52 yo with fibromyalgia queries treatment for muscle spasms. Cannabinoids extracted into natural oils (Shea, olive, jojoba, emu, or coconut) seem to penetrate skin warmed by heat and when massaged into the skin; relieving muscle spasm and pain. No appreciable blood levels or mental effects (the "high") seem to be aroused by this treatment.
