Not necessarily: Answer this i think it depends on what else you have and what else you take. Neither may be related to the methotrexate.

Methotrexate: Not a reported side-effect. One thought is that it might be working for the illness it is treating (ex. Cancer or autoimmune disease), hence the resultant improvement in appetite. The depression might be the fatigue & dizziness caused by Methotrexate as side-effects.
