A member asked:

Could u please explain the complications of burr hole evacuation... whether there is any relation with neck stability in children..?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unrelated: A burr hole is a hole drilled through the bone of the skull. This will allow the neurosurgeon to insert needles or catheters or fiber optic instruments in order to take out or evacuate something abnormal. The hole left will be able to be felt even when all else has healed. There is no association that i know of with neck stability problems.
