A member asked:

Can optic nerve swelling have any relation to severe neck pain and tingling in the neck?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be: If you have optic nerve swelling, with loss of vision, you could have optic neuritis. If when you flex or extend your neck, you have electrical shock-like pain or tingling, this could be a Lhermitte's sign. Although several causes, I would evaluate for Multiple Sclerosis.
