Rhinitis Medicamento: Sounds like you are using/addicted to over the counter nasal spray. After 3-5 days, the rebound congestion is worse. Here is a simple plan i try with patients addicted: pick a nostril and immediately stop using the spray in that one side. Continue in the other only. Do this for about 1 week, allowing the unused side to heal. Then stop the spray completely. See an allergist for better therapy.

Nasal congestion: Go to an allergist to find out why you are stuffy. You could have allergies, chronic infection, structural issues or reflux as the initial cause, or even a cold or non-allergic rhinitis. The structural issue could be nasal polyps or septal deviation , for example . You may already be addicted to nosespray, if you already use it often. Allergists have to differentiate between those causes daily.
