Until ovulation : Usually ovulation occurs 11-21 days after last menstruation, or 11-14 days prior to expected period. Those are fertile times to avoid if you don't want to be pregnant. There are many methos to determine more precisely whe you ovulate. See http://www.Americanpregnancy.Org/gettingpregnant/ovulationfaq.Htm.

None are 100%: Pregnancy has been documented from exposure on any day of a woman's cycle including during menses. It is less likely on days near menses but never 100%.For those with irregular cycles, the chances of ovulation at unpredictable times increases.
