Nerve palsy: It could be bell's palsy. Either way see your primary doc or a neurologist asap.

TMJ Pain: It is very common to have numbness with TMJ problems, you should be evaluated to rule out any pathology vs. Nerve impingement. I would start with and ENT evaluation and if everything checks out would look at a TMJ evaluation by someone who has advanced training in treating TMJ problems.
