Gum infection: Mouth infection can cause swollen sore glands in your throat. A dentist can diagnose the problem and cause and treat . You may have gum abscess or nerve problem which are handled differently.

Dental Infection: In addition to the gums being infected, you may also have an abcessed tooth. When the infection works its way through the bone, it can cause the gums to become quite painful and swollen. The lymph nodes on the left side of your throat would also become swollen. It's important to see your dentist asap to diagnose the problem so that the infection doesn't spread down into your neck/chest cavity.
