Definite possibility: If this happens repeatedly, and/or with a specific brand/flavor of gum I think it would be safe to make the assumption you may have a mild allergy to it. Depending on how long you've experienced this and if you can narrow it down to more specifics and reoccurence,I would either just make a rule to avoid that gum, OR you could choose to have a specialist take a look at you as well (ENT) for opinion
