Why do my eyes turn red when i close them and lay down?

Red eyes: It is possible this could be related to a change in tear secretion. Seeing an ophthalmologist to assess this and decide if drops are indicated would be in order.

Not likely ss stated: It would be difficult to explain why closing your eyes would make them red. More likelywhile sleeping your eyes are open slightly, allowing exposure which causes dryness in can make them red. Using an artificial tear, in ointment form before bed, or napping may help. If not, you should see an ophthalmologist.
