Minimal: Most cysts on the head are just under the skin and may be excised (or drained) under local anesthesia with very minimal discomfort that is only during the placement of local anesthetic. This should be much less than a dental procedure entails!

Cyst to be excised: Assuming it will be removed under local anesthesia, you will have only the pain with the injection of the local anesthetic. After that you will feel nothing.
