Yes: Hard surfaces and walking bare foot will create greater impact. This can cause low back pain.

Yes: The foot was not meant to walk on hard surfaces. The bones, joints and ligaments will tend to stretch and go out of place-- when the foot flattens out, the muscles in the leg are stretched, the person becomes 'knock kneed' and that throws out the balance up to the spine.
