Sorry: I do not believe that there are hair follicles on the plantar surface (sole) of the foot.

It is usually: Localized to an area of hair growth. Hair typically does not grow on palms or soles. But the infection itself can spread....Antibiotics and or incision and drainage of site of origin of problem may be necessary.

No: No hair on bottom of foot. I did have a patient with a skin graft on the bottom of her foot who i did treat for folliculitis.
