Congestion: Dairy is notorious for increasing the thickness of mucus, making people feel that they are more congested. Dairy isn't bad for you, but if you get congested with it, then avoid.

Milk & congestio: It's traditionally thought that milk increases congestion, but I'm not aware that this has ever been proven as actual fact. That being said, warm fluids like tea and soup would be better.
