Plantar fasciitis...: If the pain is on the inside area of the heel, this is most likely pf or plantar fasciits, more commonly known as heel spur syndrome. If the pain shoots up the side or back of your ankle, this may be tarsal tunnel sydrome(pinched nerve). If the pain shoots up to your hip, it is most likely sciatica (nerve compression from the lower back). Please see your doctor to determine which and treatment.

Plantar fascitis : Is usually the culprit with pain that originates under the heel and or arch. Neuritis can occur concomitantly. Some home remedies are ice, antiinflammatory like allege or motrin, stretching, arch supports but if pain is severe - see a foot doc or ortho pod.
