Orthopaedics consult: Your daughter will benefit from a full physical exam from an orthopaedic surgeon in clinic. Did she have an injury? The history of feeling a sticking and then having some pain when unbending ones leg and standing up to walk may point to a gel phenomenon related to a meniscus tear inside the knee. However, it is best to recommend a full physical exam in person to ascertain the cause of her pain.
