A member asked:

My daughter has a red throat and when i touched her lymphnoides she backed up and said it hurt and is running low grade fever?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tonsillitis: Sounds pretty classic for tonsillitis or pharyngitis- sore, red throat, fever, fatigue, enlarged and tender lymph nodes. If she feels pretty rough, see a doctor to rule out mono and strep throat, two common causes that would warrant more aggressive monitoring or treatment. Otherwise, supportive care would include rest, otc pain meds, and drinking plenty of fluids.
