Less Salt, etc.: Lighten up on salt and alcohol intake to reduce blood pressure. Lighten up on sugar, starch and fat intake for cholesterol. Some people just need meds for both. If you're overweight cut out bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Increase your water intake. You are young. Invest in your future. Exercise is very important. You will be glad you did all the above, even if you need medication also.
