I've had quite a few lupus flares lately. each time after starting prednisone burst, i'll feel better, but flare leaves me drained for a while. why?

Lupus, steroids : This could be a response to lupus or it could be due to the effect of the corticosteroids. To answer better it depends what these flares are. Are they joint, lung, heart, kidney, neurological etc? The flare is taking all of yourenergy and the body has to recover.
