Lupus: On a short-term, you could increase your Prednisone as it does help you. However, i would encourage you to see a neurologist or discuss the issue with your rheumatologist

Control the disease: If the flares and the cognitive issues are occurring fairly frequently, you need to achieve better control of the lupus rather than relying solely on prednisone. Speak with your rheumatologist and see if more aggressive therapy of the underlying disease is warranted.
