A member asked:

What can 6 + hours of being exposed to temperatures up to 112 degrees do to your legs and back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Must stay cool: Our bodies near the surface are not made to be in high heat, but some people who do adapt and do ok by drinking lots of water and sweating it out, thus keeping the skin cool. Otherwise, the prolonged overheating of skin can damage it (in some people leading to discoloration, redness, itching, burning sensation, etc...). Protective clothing and proper cooling is key, if one cannot avoid the heat.
