No: Osteoporosis does not generally cause pain. However, osteoporosis is unusual at your age. I wonder why you were being screened so early. Maybe this is related to your pain?

Those locations, and the wrist, have been used for imaging and quantifying the severity of your disease but you have it throughout your body. Ribs can fracture and bruise more easily in osteoporosis and weak bones hurt in general. Osteoporosis is a painful disease and you need to treat it with calcium, vit d, mg.
