What are some treatment methods i can apply to a basketball-related index-finger injury?

RICE!: Rest (splinting-buddy tape to next finger or popsicle stick taped to the finger), ice--ice it down often, compression--you may need this but usually not on a finger, elevation---holding it above the level of the hear reduces swelling and pain. Splinting is usually very effective. Don't blow it off that you don't have a more significant injury. May need to be seen and x-rayed. Take care!

Splint tape: Must get x-ray and see ortho prior to starting any treatment.
