Discuss: Discuss this with the surgeon. If you had numbness before the surgery i would expect about 6 months you would feel better.

Talk to MD: The nerves may have been damaged or bruised by either the operation or the disease that caused you to seek surgery. These nerves can take a long time to recover, and sometimes do not. The best judge of this is your surgeon. Talk to them about your concerns. If needed get a second opinion if not satisfied.
