Get help right away: Call your local crisis line or 911 if you are seriously considering suicide. All forms of mental illness are treatable even if not curable. Seek the help of a psychiatrist and or psychologist for guidance on treatment. Call a family member or friend to stay with you and let them know the thoughts you are having. There is no return from suicide.

Find help ASAP: If you had a mental illness before, and got better, you need to reevaluated what worked, what stopped working, rehearse things that you already know that were adaptive. Many choices: There are many treatments and some people rule out some out of fear and prejudice such as ECT or lithium. When suffering is greatest these treatments may work best. I've had some patients slowly improve over several years. Never give up.
