See your dentist: There could be bone spicules or even a part of the tooth left causing the problems with the extraction site. I would consult your dentist as soon as possible.

Return to dentist: This is not typical. If it is the same area, there is a good possibility that there is a root remnant still present, a foreign object is in the socket, or some other type of infection has recurred in the area, which is highly unlikely.

Go see the dentist: This situation is not normal and should be evaluated by your dentist or the doctor who extracted your teeth. There really shoudn't be swelling at the extraction site a year later.

Swelling/irritation: See the General Dentist or Oral Suurgeon that did your extraction. The area may need some additional treatment. It is also possible that your symptoms are totally unrelated to your previous surgery, but you will have to be examined to determine the cause.
