Maybe: Any infection causes inflammation to surrounding tissues. Even if the infection has resolved, it can have residual pain. But any pain that is persistent and chronic should be examined further.

Need more info: What kind of infection and where? Duration? Have you changed your eating habits or bite? Need to see a doctor.
