Why does bacteria vaginosis come back?

Bacterial balance: Bv is caused typically by a bacteria called gardnerella, which probaly is present in some quantity in most women. When one cleans too thoroughly or takes antibiotics the protective bacteria die and the gardnerella takes over. It is likely impossible to kill every single gardnerella bug, so all it takes is a few bacteria and a cause for imbalance for it to return.
