May require MD exam-: Due his young age & the known increased rate of flu complications at this age, the safest answer should include a visit with your pediatrician. Pneumonia, ear infections, bronchiolitis, etc. May be masquerading behind the cough & runny nose symptoms that you describe. Hopefully, none of these coexist wih your baby's flu. But, worrisome is the fact that september is a bit early for flu to appear.
