Diagnosed with left testicular hydrocele. i consulted 2 doctors, 1 said infection & prescribed medicines, 2nd said no infection. should i take med?

Depends. : A hydrocele is a benign condition and it seldom causes any symptoms other than a large bulge in your pants and some heaviness. If it grows bigger and it is difficult to cope with it, surgery may be indicated. I don't like aspirations it seldom helps. Hydroceles very rare get infected if they do antibiotics are indicated. If the hydrocele was caused by orchitis then you may need antibiotics.

Depends on the cause: Most hydroceles are asymptomatic and are rarely infected; thus antibiotics would not likely be needed or beneficial. However, if you have symptoms of scrotal pain, redness, swelling, fever, etc, then you may have a reactive hydrocele and antibiotics may be indicated.
