It doesn't: There is not known relationship between the two conditions you reference. Meconium amniotic fluid does not cause amniotic fluid embolism.

It does not!: Meconium passage in utero is common and generally without consequence provided there is no fetal distress. Amniotic fluid embolism is a very rare but almost always lethal maternal complication of late pregnancy. The two conditions are unrelated.
