Yes: They will require a diet rich in proteins, veggies(green leafy)and calcium. Watch the weight-easy for a young gymnast to burn lots of calories and we need to stay at an even weight.

Gymnasts need adequate nutrition to avoid complications of osteoporosis, amenorrhea and other problems associated with low body weight. Adequate protein is also required for muscle building and tissue repair.
