A member asked:

Is it normal for a pulmonary hypertension patient who is 65 yrs old end up bed bound?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sadly sometimes: Pulmonary hypertension can become devastating and sometimes does, in fact, progress to the point where one is bed bound. I assume he has been thoroughly evaluated for treatable causes? If not, he should see someone show specializes in ph at a university hospital. The university of michigan and henry ford hospital in detroit are 2 that come to mind in your state.
